Dining in Vienna is an experience like no other.  Specialty and gourmet foods, along with wonderful desserts, wine, and coffee, are more symbols of Vienna that sets this great city apart from all others.

Located across from St. Stephen’s Cathedral, on the 7th floor of a very modern building, this restaurant is immensely popular with the well-to-do crowd.  You definitely need to have reservations to be seated here.

5. Gösser Bierklinik, Steindlgasse 4 (Inner City), Vienna - website

This restaurant serves Austrian, German, and Swiss cuisine and is known as the Golden Dragon.  It serves some of the finest beer in Vienna along with a well-prepared meal.

6. Palmenhaus, In the Burggarten, (Inner City) 1130 Vienna - website

Located in a greenhouse made with a glass canopy, this restaurant looks out over the Burggarten formal terraces and was built between 1901 and 1904.  It offers German, Austrian, and Swiss food selections.

This rustic restaurant serves traditional Viennese dishes as well as “new Austrian” food choices.  They also offer a vast assortment of wines and are popular with the after-theater patrons.

Serving International cuisine, this restaurant has been in the family since 1618.  It is a wonderful place for a sandwich, a glass of wine, or a meal.

This restaurant is famous for its traditional boiled beef and delicious broths and sauces.  Take your time; be in no hurry to finish a meal here.
